Simon studied journalism at the London College of Printing in the mid-90s. By 1999 he was working as a photojournalist shooting and writing features for titles including Observer Magazine, The Times and the Daily Mirror.

Simon has photographed assignments all over the world for national and international titles. He works for editorial, corporate and PR clients as well as overseas development agencies. In 2004 his photography for Nickelodeon won an award at the DDA International Design Awards, and in 2006 Simon photographed an international book project for Dorling Kindersely/UNICEF called A School Like Mine.

Simon lives in London with his partner and two young children.
